Who owns the most JPMorgan Chase stock besides Jamie Dimon?

Jamie Dimon owns a huge amount of JPMorgan stock, but he’s not the only one betting big on the company.

JP Morgan Chase (J.P.M. 1.54%) It’s been one of the best bank stocks in recent memory. Over the past 10 years, the stock has increased in value by 250%. Citigroup By comparison, the stock price rose only 27% during that period.

Many investors have become wealthy with JPMorgan stock, which is a popular stock. CEO Jamie Dimon owns 7,700,806 shares, currently worth $1.5 billion, according to the company’s 2024 proxy statement. But he’s not the only one whose fortune is tied up in company stock.

The company’s insiders own large amounts of JPMorgan stock.

JPMorgan’s latest proxy statement, dated April 8, lists five company insiders as owning more than 100,000 shares of the company’s stock, but all of them own fewer shares than Dimon.

The power of attorney includes Vanguard and black stone, the two major institutional investors with a total of 465 million shares, are the only institutions holding more than 5% of the stock. Their holdings represent approximately 16% of JPMorgan’s total shares, Vanguard’s 9.4%, and BlackRock’s 6.7%.

The majority of Vanguard and BlackRock shares are ultimately owned by tens of thousands of individual investors who own shares through funds managed by each company. Additionally, individual investors owning less than 5% of the company’s outstanding stock are not included in the filing. That’s because these investors don’t have to file publicly with the SEC. Therefore, the public does not know whether there are individuals who own more shares than Jamie Dimon but do not need to be listed as beneficial owners on public filings.

Information from S&P Capital IQ lists many institutional investors holding more shares than Dimon, but only four individuals own more than 100,000 shares but have significantly less than Dimon’s shares.
