uk, April 26, 2024 / AlexaBlockchain/ – Wild Goat Coin, an excellent meme coin and ultimate digital collectible, officially launched this week on Base, Coinbase’s fast and low-cost Ethereum layer 2 blockchain network.
Based on a fictional story about a badass humanoid goat character – a meme play on the term ‘digital gold’ and a nod to crypto culture degeneration – the WGC will hold a fixed supply of 69.420B tokens and use gold imagery. It uses a coin as its emblem and features a luxury sports car with the words ‘In Goat We Trust’ engraved on it.
It was originally launched on the Solana blockchain network in late 2023 and is also available on another Ethereum layer 2, Polygon. Building its newest home on Base makes WGC more accessible to users around the world.
Competing in the popular meme coin space alongside Elon Musk’s favorite Dogecoin and recent trending coins like Bonk, Pepe and Dogwifhat ($WIF), which gained attention with the recent Las Vegas Sphere promotion, WGC is still relatively unknown. . It has yet to experience a true breakthrough that catapults it into the limelight of mainstream cryptocurrency culture.
Currently available only through a decentralized exchange (DEX), WGC plans to launch a larger centralized exchange platform later this year.
