Bitcoin Core 31.0: SOLO Full Node Update

We have upgraded the nodes behind our BTC SOLO mining pool as follows: Bitcoin Core 31.0This is the latest major release. Block templates are now built into the new cluster-based mempool, and this release continues to migrate the mining interface to a multi-process IPC architecture.

What’s changed:

  • Cluster memory pool. Transaction ordering has been rebuilt around clusters, improving how block templates are constructed and how fee bumping (RBF and CPFP) is evaluated.
  • Mining Interface (IPC). Block template creation has been further developed into a separate mining interface. Coinbase data is now returned in a structured format.
  • Node performance. The default database cache has been increased to: 1024MiB On systems with more than 4GB of RAM, the lower fee estimate is lowered to: 0.1 sat/vB.

Nothing will change for you as a SOLO miner. We run and maintain nodes. Point your SHA-256 hardware to: solo-btc.2miners.com:2626 Use your Bitcoin address as your worker name. When the equipment finds a block, the full reward (3.125 BTC (including fees) is yours.

Quai (QUAI) node update: go-quai v0.53.0 (BIP-302 Fork)

Quai is activated. BIP-302 consensus fork Gokwai v0.53.0 to May 15, 2026. Before activation, we updated the Quai node to keep it in sync across QuaiKawPow and QuaiSHA pull forks.

Key changes for miners:

  • Compensation recalculation. The fork renormalizes Quai’s block rewards to SHA-equivalent difficulty. KawPoW difficulty is now expressed in SHA terms.
  • Short conversion freezes. A short hold interval applied around the fork’s activation window.
  • Stability fixes. Added recovery step if Prime/Region/Zone headers are out of sync on restart.

Mining is possible on QuaiKawPow and QuaiSHA pools, with SOLO options for both.

Zcash (ZEC) Node Update: Version 6.12.3 — Security Hotfix

Zcash launched v6.12.3Security hotfix applied immediately to ZEC full nodes.

Release fixes CVE-2024-52911This is an important use-after-free vulnerability in block verification. Any inbound peer can trigger this by sending a crafted invalid block and crashing the node during script verification, and bouncing invalid blocks between peers can amplify a single crash into a network-wide outage. All multi-core nodes running the default configuration were affected at v6.12.2 and lower.

If you’re running your own Zcash node, upgrade to: 6.12.3 Without delay. Our full nodes are already patched.

Ergo (ERG) Node Update: Version 6.0.3-RC1

Ergo published 6.0.3-RC1This is a release candidate that focuses on block propagation and mempool handling. We are testing on ERG full nodes.

Notable changes:

  • Faster block announcement. Now new blocks are announced immediately to peers before full verification. This helps reduce propagation delays and lower miner staleness/orphan rates.
  • Mempool improvements. Improved handling of fee-based transaction fallbacks and fixed duplicate transaction IDs.

As a release candidate, 6.0.3-RC1 is pre-release. Once released we will move the pool to a stable build.

Caspar (KAS) block reward reduction

In line with Kaspa tokenomics and a smooth monthly issuance schedule, Kaspa suffered another scheduled block reward reduction in May.

  • Previous rewards: 2.914 KAS
  • New rewards: 2.75 what

Please be careful! Kaspa mining profitability has changed. We have already updated 2CryptoCalc to reflect the new reward values. Mining is possible in KAS Pool and KAS SOLO.

NEXA block reward reduction

In line with Nexa token economics, Nexa block rewards were halved in May.

  • Previous rewards: 10,000,000 links
  • New rewards: 5,000,000 links

Please be careful! Nexa mining rewards per block have been halved. We have updated 2CryptoCalc accordingly. Mining is possible in NEXA Pool and NEXA SOLO.
