Zephyr ZEPH Mining Method: Setup and Profitability of Cryptocurrency Mining with a Focus on Privacy
What is Zephyr ZEPH cryptocurrency?
As stated on the official website, Zephyr is an untraceable over-collateralized stablecoin project. According to the developer, The first confidential stablecoin system with adequate reserves to ensure the stability of its token rate.
The project's foundation is a combination of the Djed stablecoin protocol from developers Emurgo, IOHK, and Ergo Foundation, and privacy features from the Monero network. These include hiding the recipient's address and transaction amount. As noted by the developers, this makes the evolution towards true "digital cash" much more tangible.
The previously mentioned Djed stablecoin protocol uses three tokens: native coin, stablecoin, and reserve coin. A detailed explanation is as follows:
- ZEPH — The cryptocurrency at the core of the Zephyr protocol, serving as the native coin and reserve asset for the decentralized protocol based on Djed.
- Zephyr Stable Dollar (ZSD) — Zephyr protocol’s overcollateralized confidential stablecoin. Its exchange rate is pegged to the dollar, and the stability of its value is guaranteed by the ZEPH reserve.
- Zephyr Reserve Stock (ZRS) — A share of the protocol reserves that represents the financial health of the overall project and a stake in its future success.
Reserve providers contribute their ZEPH to the project reserve fund and in return receive ZRS reflecting their share in the overall capital. The release of a ZSD stablecoin occurs when a user contributes an equal amount of ZEPH to the reserves while maintaining the minimum reserve ratio (usually 400%).
In practice, this ratio often exceeds 700%. This means: Stablecoins must maintain stability and a dollar peg even during extreme market volatility. and merchant sales.
Below are statistics on ZEPH coins in reserve and ZSD and ZRS tokens in circulation.
Zephyr ZEPH Exchange Rate
Currently, ZEPH is worth $7.24 and the project’s market capitalization is $28 million.
The asset’s highest value of $52.31 was reached on November 23, 2023. So compared to that point, our current ratio is 86% behind.
However, this is a relatively new project and has not yet gone through a full bull market. Therefore, it is too early to make assumptions about the further behavior of ZEPH.
Where to buy Zephyr ZEPH cryptocurrency
Zephyr ZEPH is traded on several popular cryptocurrency exchanges. These are the familiar ones to us: MEXC, XT-com, CoinEx, Xeggex, TradeOgre and Nonkyc. The platform distribution according to trading volume is as follows:
Note that some trading platforms have not only low volumes but also poor market depth. The latter indicates the size of the deal that will change the base asset's price by 2 percent in either direction.
For example, buying ZEPH for 11 USDT on the XT-com platform results in a 2% increase in the coin exchange rate on the exchange, while a similar decrease occurs after selling the cryptocurrency for $23 on Nonkyc. Taking this into account, whether you are buying cryptocurrency as a long-term investment or selling mining rewards, it is advisable to conduct transactions with your coins on platforms with strong liquidity. In this case, it is the MEXC exchange that allows you to conduct transactions on better terms and without sharp exchange rate fluctuations.
The project website displays various indicators about project status. As you can see, the number of ZEPH in reserves has been increasing regularly over the past three months.
This means that the stability of the ZSD stablecoin is also improving.

You can also use the official wallet from this link on Github.
Traditionally, if you want to accumulate ZEPH and receive mining rewards, cryptocurrency exchanges are the way to go. However, on lesser-known platforms, we recommend not storing large amounts for added security.
Profitability of ZEPH cryptocurrency mining
The Zephyr network uses the RandomX mining algorithm, which is also used by Monero. Moreover, Zephyr’s hashrate is quite similar to Monero’s hashrate. This means that ZEPH is mined on par with XMR, which despite being a relatively unknown cryptocurrency remains one of the pioneers of the digital asset industry.
You can mine ZEPH using a processor and graphics card, and track the situation with blocks and transactions in the blockchain explorer.
ZEPH falls into the latter half of the cryptocurrency profitability presented in the 2CryptoCalc calculator. For example, here’s a situation where we have eight Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards:
This is logical. Zephyr is primarily built for CPU mining.. So, to calculate your current profitability, enter your hashrate on this page.
Do not forget that the 2CryptoCalc calculator does not take into account electricity costs, the rates for which are different for everyone. Therefore, when calculating profitability, this must be considered.
Zephyr ZEPH Mining Settings
To mine Zephyr ZEPH on CPU and GPU, you will need to use the XMRig miner. You can download it from this archive and the password to run it — 2 miners — No spaces, capital letters, or periods.
