What is ZetaChain?
ZetaChain is a layer 1 blockchain with built-in connectivity to all blockchains and their applications. It is also a smart contract platform that can manage assets, data, and liquidity of all chains, including non-smart contract chains such as Bitcoin and Dogecoin. The project recently announced a $27 million funding round from Blockchain.com, Human Capital, and others to accelerate its goal of delivering the first public EVM-compatible L1 blockchain.
The project is still in the testing phase, but has a lot of potential for the future. One of the key benefits is that it enables omnichain decentralized applications (odApps) that can access and use information and liquidity from multiple blockchains simultaneously.
To make things even easier, ZetaChain has created a special app called ZetaChain Swap App. The app allows users to transfer assets between connected blockchains without going through the complex process of wrapping or locking tokens. Instead, users can complete the transaction in just one step.
Does ZetaChain have tokens?
Yes, ZetaChain confirmed in their whitepaper that there will be a $ZETA token. Tokens are used to enable gas payment, proof-of-stake blockchain security, cross-chain transfers, swaps, and messaging.
Additionally, $ZETA is minted natively across multiple layers and chains. Currently, ZetaChain has not yet announced token economics or officially announced the airdrop. However, testnets offer incentives, which usually mean airdrops to users. People also noticed that ZetaChain now has a page on CoinMarketCap. Is this a hint that $ZETA tokens are coming soon?
How do I receive a potential $ZETA airdrop?
Your best chance to receive a potential $ZETA airdrop is by interacting with the incentivized testnet. You can earn ZETA points by completing various tasks, which will likely be converted into airdrop rewards once the tokens are released. Here is a step-by-step guide:
- Log in to ZetaChain testnet with Twitter
Our invitation link Register on the ZetaLabs testnet (we each receive 5,000 ZETA points!). After logging in, you’ll need to verify your account with Twitter.
- Connect your MetaMask wallet
Once you authenticate with Twitter, you will be redirected to labs.zetachain.com/swap. Connect MetaMask and switch your network to Goerli.
- Testnet Request ZETA
Go to labs.zetachain.com/get-zeta to request ZETA for ZetaLabs trading. You will receive 2 ZETA and some gas assets on the Goerli, Polygon Mumbai and BSC testnets so you can start testing on various chains. You can only request this once per day, and we recommend that you request it every day.
You can also request it via Faucet on ZetaChain’s Discord channel.
- token exchange
Exchange tokens between Goerli, BSC Testnet, Polygon Mumbai and Bitcoin Testnet networks at labs.zetachain.com/get-zeta. Swap once every 7 days and receive 7,000 points every week! Additionally, since it is a testnet only, you can participate for free!
- Refer a friend with an invitation link
You can access your referral link by clicking ‘Earn ZETA Points’ at the top center of the screen, which can be automatically shared on Twitter or copied manually.
You’ll earn 5,000 ZETA points for each person you invite, and an additional 1,750 points for each transaction they make each week.
- Claim your Zeta Supporter Discord role on the ZetaChain Guild
Go to the ZetaChain guild platform. Your first task is to claim the Zeta Supporter Discord role. You’ll need to complete tasks such as getting verified on Discord and following us on Twitter.
- Complete the Omnichain ZETA-USDT swap
Go to Zetachain’s swap page. Connect Twitter and Metamask (make sure you are on the Goerli test network). Request a testnet $ZETA token (you can also request a testnet token on Discord). Then switch to Polygon Mumbai Testnet (add network using Chainlist) and replace 3 $ZETA from Polygon Mumbai Testnet with Goerli Test Network. Finally, click “Claim” to mint your NFT.
- Apply for a ZETA beta tester role
Connect your Twitter and Metamask to https://guild.xyz/zetachain and request to be a ZETA beta tester.
- Complete the swap in the Galxe campaign
Complete the same steps as above, but exchange Goerli ETH ($gETH) for $ZETA, BTC for DeFi assets on any chain, or MATIC for ZETA using two chains. To make a claim, you only need to complete 1 of the 4 replacements mentioned in steps 6 and 8.
- Claim your role as ZETA fairy tale
Join the ZETA Assimilated 101 or ZETA Assimilated 201 Galxe campaigns.
- Get ZETA domain
Go to https://dotzeta.me/ and enter your desired domain name.
- Complete your token swap on Eddy
Go to https://app.eddy.finance/. Then go to Zetaswap and exchange $ZETA for other tokens.
- Mint NFT on Dripverse
Log in to https://dripverse.org/. Go to “Build” and “Mint NFT” at the top of the screen. Fill out the form and click “Submit.”
- Exchange tokens on Aceswap
Connect your wallet to https://aceswap.io/. Exchange $ZETA for $ACE and vice versa. Optional: Complete the task at https://app.questn.com/aceswap
- Send Tokens to ZetaChain Safe
Go to https://safe.zetachain.com/welcome and follow the steps to create a new account. Send $ZETA to a secure account.
Airdrop Review
There are several factors to consider when reviewing airdrops. First, there is a possibility that the project will conduct an airdrop in the first place. We will then look at how many tokens the project will allocate to the airdrop campaign and the difficulty of participating in the airdrop.
