Zweig width dominates the headline, but what about the exit strategy? | Chart

key

Takeout

  • The S & P 1500 Advance-Decline Ventive triggered Zweig width this week.
  • This signal reflects sudden and rapid participation.
  • The ZBT signal only includes items, so the chart list means that if the exit strategy fails, the termination strategy must be considered.

As stocks soared last week, the Zweig width thrust of the S & P 1500 was triggered on Thursday. In poker terms, this propulsion shows a sudden change in participation as the stock moves from folding within 10 days to Allin. The optimistic thrust signal is only part of the puzzle. How do you know when this signal failed? Today’s report will look at the ZBT signal of the S & P 1500 and provide an exit strategy. Stick the end for a suggestion for accessing a completely quantified strategy based on zweig width thrust.

TrendinvestorPro subscribers can access three timely reports. The first report/video describes the mechanism of the original NYSE-based Zweig Bowth Indicator and shows the latest version using the S & P 1500 Advance-Decle percent. Second, we also used ZBT signals to present different indicators of trading strategies and outlets. The third report/video deals with the setting and thrust signal for the percentage on the SMA indicator. Some of these indicators have been triggered this week, but not everything. It’s a ZBT trigger of S & P 1500, but it’s not S & P 500.

The first chart shows that the Zweig Bowth Thrust (ZBT) indicator moves from -20% to 23% or more within 10 days (blue line). This thrust signal means that the S & P 1500 Advance-Decline width has become confusing due to the strong sales pressure, and the rise is soaring that it has been restored in a dramatic way. In addition, this change occurred in the window of 10 days. The reversal of this property was sudden and sharp.

Zweig width propulsion triggered a signal in November 2023, and we were there. See this report (November 11-20123) for more information on the original NYSE -based Zweig Bowth thrust. See this report (November 18-20123) for more information about writing Zweig width thrust for more information about using the S & P 1500 Advance -Decle percent.

There is a lack of S & P 500 ZBT

The ZBT indicator of the S & P 500 is not triggered. The indicators were less than -20% on April 8 and could not return to +23% in the window. In fact, the indicators did not go back to +23% this week. This shows that there is little synergy within the S & P 500 and there are more participation in the S & P 1500. Small and Mid CAP width surpassed a large cap width this week.

Where is the exit?

Zweig’s width thrust is used only for optimistic signals, so charts need to find other indicators to inform the failed thrust. As the name suggests, the thrust is powerful enough to predict the extended development with a powerful upward measure. In November 2023, Zweig width thrusts provide typical examples as spies continue to rise. The Blue line shows when the S & P 1500 and S & P 500 ZBT indicators are triggered in early November.

The chart list looking for an exit strategy can consider the level of preliminary support based on the lowest reaction. The horizontal blue line starts at the end of October 2023 and shows this level of support. Spy recorded the minimum response in January 2025, recorded a new high in February, and stopped supporting to cause exit. The current level of support is based on the lowest level in April.

The chart list that finds a more dynamic approach can consider the indicators that follow the trend, which will be explored next (subscriber). This strategy is completely disclosed and quantified as a back test. Click here to take the test and access it immediately!
