Indexes: Stock Market Updates: Nifty Auto Index rises 0.98%
Shares of Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 3.34%), Bharat Forge Ltd. (up 2.09%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.71%), TVS Motor Company Ltd. (up 1.45%) and shares of Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 1.45%) % rise) closed the day with a top rise.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd. (down 0.71%) was the biggest decliner of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.98 per cent higher at 17953.55.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index rose 91.95 points to 21441.35, while the BSE Sensex rose 229.84 points to 71336.8.
Of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty index, 42 closed in green and eight closed in red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Renewable, JP Power and HFCL were among the most traded stocks on the NSE. Shares of Themis Medicare, J Kumar Infra, Gallantt Metal, Syncom Form and Starteck Finance hit new 52-week highs in today’s trading, while shares of Bajel Projects, Penta Gold, India Shelter Finance, SS Infrastructure and Raj Rayon hit new 52-week highs.
