Scalability – CTV Practical Use – How to trustlessly coordinate 1,000 people sharing 1 UTXO? And how many vBytes does such an onboarding Tx require?

We will use Ark, a new layer 2 solution for Bitcoin, as a reference.

More information about Ark can be found at https://arkdev.info/.

This sounds great in theory, but who coordinates these shared UTXOs?

We call the central party Ark Service Provider, or ASP.

Aren’t we going back to reliable solutions to make adjustments honestly? After reconciling and mining UTXOs, it seems like there’s less trust than Fedimint… but doesn’t reconciliation still require trust?

Trust is not required when using frozen transactions.

Additionally, all on-chain transactions are 100% funded by ASP.

Does anyone actually have a trust minimization solution for UTXO sharing coordination?

Arc is completely unreliable.

Also… I wonder if anyone has an estimate of how many vBytes would be needed for a Tx with 1,000 users sharing 1 UTXO. Do you have a rough idea or possible scope?

Ark on-chain transactions are regular transactions with a maximum of 2 or 3 outputs.
